Food Bridge is a web-based platform designed to reduce food waste and improve food accessibility by connecting surplus food providers with needy institutions through a structured digital system. The platform includes four main actors: Admin, Food Supplier, Volunteer, and Consumer. Suppliers can register, get approved, and add food listings with complete details. Consumers can browse listings and place orders for free or paid food items. Volunteers assist with pickup and delivery, while the admin manages approvals, records, and overall monitoring. The system also supports automatic volunteer assignment, notifications, secure Stripe payment integration, OTP verification, and role-based dashboards. Built with Next.js, Node.js, and a structured database, Food Bridge offers a practical, scalable, and socially beneficial solution for surplus food redistribution.
